Ed DeSeve brings to the table a wealth of experience in federal management and Presidential transitions, having served in both the Clinton and Obama Administrations, and as a member of President Obama's 2008 transition team. Mr. DeSeve has held senior posts at all three levels of government, as well as in the private sector. He has served as Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Controller of the Office of Management and Budget, and Deputy Director for Management at OMB, the highest management position in the federal government. Be began his career serving with the City of Philadelphia as a junior budget analyst, Budget Director, Deputy Director for Finance and eventually Director of Finance.
In the public service area, Mr. DeSeve was formerly the Vice-Chair of the National Academy of Public Administration, a lecturer at the Brookings Institution and a former board member of the National Science Foundation Board of Business Advisers.
He holds a Masters of Government Administration in Public Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Labor Economics from Cornell University.
